Go Wolfpack!

The boys are, of course, in the Jr. Wolpack Club--have been since birth, and I'm sure, will be forever! Some of the perks of their membership is that they get to attend 1 football game and 2 basketball games per year. This is special to them since their Daddy and DD attend EVERY single game. I have zero interest in watching football games, but truly enjoy basketball. So, we all decided to go to a basketball game together. Cooper wasn't a very good spectator, though. He was only interested in finding Mr. and Mrs. Wuf, occasionally clapping or dancing to the music, but most of all, running up and down the stairs.

Carter, on the other hand, has turned into our little Sports Buff! He lives, eats, and breathes sports! He is constantly playing sports on playstation or reading sports magazines. On Saturday mornings when most kids are getting up to watch cartoons, he turns the tv to ESPN! He rambles on and on about scores and statistics. One day, he was going on and on about who knows what to me. When he finished, I said, "Do you realize that I have no idea what you're talking about? (since I'm clueless about this stuff!) He just looked at me and kept on talking!

Career Day

Carter had to complete a Career Project for school. When I asked him what he wanted to be when he grows up, he said a basketball player. So, I looked at the questions he had to answer, which were like "How does this job contribute to your community?" Ok...a basketball player doesn't exactly fit into most categories of this nature! So, I went through the spill of all the different careers and then again asked him what he'd like to be. His response was that he wants to work at the YMCA like Daddy! Ok, good choice...I guess! It turned out cute because Daddy was able to help him answer the questions and he posted sports and exercise pictures on his poster. He wore a YMCA shirt with a character trait chain around his neck. He even had YMCA balloons and had tattoos to hand out! By the way, his answer to the question of what would be negative about his job was that he'd have to work about 20 hours a day and weekends! How true it is!!!!!!!!!!

Fun at Grandmommy & DD's!

The kids always have a great time at Grandmommy & DD's house. You know...."What happens at Grandma's, stays at Grandma's!" This time, we all enjoyed roasting marshmallows and Cooper and Elizabeth had fun in the straw in the back of the truck!

It's Official!

Well, in case you don't know, for the past year, David has been running programs for a YMCA that doesn't physically exist. He was hired to be the Executive Director of what will be the Archdale-Trinity YMCA. But, in the meantime, he supervised 3 people at the Hartley Y in High Point, also. I went to the luncheon with David on Monday where the big announcement was made that someone donated a MILLION dollars to the A-T fundraising campaign! Needless to say, they get naming rights! Therefore, the new Y will be named The Carl and Linda Grubb Family YMCA! Construction is supposed to start no later than July 2008! We're so excited! Congratulations and good luck to David!

Honors Assembly

Carter just had an Honors Assembly to end the 1st 9 weeks of school. He got a Good Citizen award for the month of September, which was for Responsibility. He also got Perfect Attendance, which he calls "Special Attistance!" They can get 1's, 2's, or 3's on their report cards and he got all 3's except for 2- 2's on retelling and making predictions! He's so smart!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween! Cooper's preschool had trick-or-treating on Tuesday. Holly, Brandy, and I shared tables to pass out candy. They were the cutest things! On Wednesday, we went back to Fairgrove church for Trunk or Treat. Then, we walked around our neigborhood. We were all so excited to be able to trick-or-treat and pass out candy in our own neighborhood because we've never been able to do that before! All the kids had so much fun running around together. I'm having computer issues right now and it won't let me load any pictures on here. But, Carter was a Wolfpack football player and Cooper was Thomas the Tank Engine. I'll hopefully be able to post pictures sometime soon.
