Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent several days in Reidsville this year for the Thanksgiving holiday. Carter, DD & I delivered meals to needy families on Thanksgiving morning. Then, we had lunch with my side of the family and dinner with David's. It's always nice to go home, visit with family, and relax! The cousins enjoy being together singing, playing, and pretending. They played in the leaves, read books, and watched Santa Buddies together! We are so blessed to have such loving families and we all have so much to be thankful for!

Cooper's Thanksgiving Program

Cooper's preschool always offers a delicious Thanksgiving meal to the families each year and the 4 year olds perform a little program. This year, it was Cooper's turn. He sang the cutest songs!

Daughtry concert

David gave me tickets to see Chris Daughtry in concert for my birthday! My friend, Stacie & I went together. It was so much fun! We had pretty good seats, but still too far away to see him as well as I'd like. So, I didn't get any super pictures. But, it was still great just to hear him singing live! I listen to Contemporary Christian music, but he is an exception for me. I have loved him since the very first time I saw him on American Idol. He's the best thing to ever come of that show!

Extreme Makeover Home Edition

I had the opportunity to participate in the Extreme Makeover Home Edition, which recently came to Lexington. This was an exciting event for our community! I volunteered to help clean the finished house on the last 2 days. It was awesome to see the finished product! It was neat to meet Ty Pennington & the design crew, even though I was a little disappointed to find out that they don't actually do any work on the house. The best part was being there when the family arrived! The crowd cheered "Move that bus!" and the looks on the faces of the family were priceless! What a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'll treasure forever! I hope God will continue to bless this very deserving family, the Creasey's.

Are you ready for some football?

Both boys are playing flag football for the YMCA. Carter is on the Steelers and Cooper is on the Vikings. Both have scored right many touchdowns so far. They love it! Like father, like son!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun-filled Halloween! For breakfast, we had cinnamon rolls with orange icing. For lunch, we made jack-o-lantern quesadillas, witches brew, and pumpkin cookies. Then, it was time for trick-or-treating, where we met the real-deal Darth Vader! Carter was Anakin Skywalker and Cooper was Darth Vader, which are really one and the same!
