Happy New Year!

For the first time since we were dating, we actually had plans for New Year's Eve! We went to our friends, the Mosers, for a little family friendly party. We ate, played games, and rang in the new year by watching the ball drop on tv. The kids blew horns and enjoyed being able to stay up until after midnight! Like all the others, this year seemed to fly by. I feel so fortunate and blessed for everyone and everything that I have in my life. I'm so excited for all the good things to come in 2010 and can't wait to see what God has in store for us! Happy New Year to all the ones that I love!

Chuck E. Cheese

Every summer and during Christmas break, we meet our friends, the Webbers, at Chuck E. Cheese in Concord. The kids enjoy getting together to play while Kelli and I have a chance to talk and catch up. It's an adventure that we always look forward to!

WOW!

Look what Santa brought my 16 year old nephew, Ivan.......an emerald green Mustang with white stripes!

Round 4

We had round 4 of Christmas on Sunday! We were back in Reidsville at Grandmommy & DD's to celebrate with Nancy & Kelly. It was quite an interesting few days! The water heater quit working and it couldn't have been a worse time than when there were 12 people staying in the house! Thank goodness for friends who let us take showers at their houses. On top of that, Nathan came down with a stomach virus...then Grandmommy...then Laurie! Once we got home, it was my turn & then DD's! But, despite all of that, it was still great to be together! We enjoyed each other's company, eating and playing our new games! It's sad to see it all end!

Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Day, we went for round 3 of opening gifts at Laurie & Nathan's house! We had dinner together, too.

Grandmommy tricked the kids this year by making them think they only had 2 presents. She wrapped all of them up and then wrapped them together in 1 big box!

Christmas morning....

Carter likes to dig into each gift to see everything that he gets and then check it out later. Cooper, on the other hand, likes to open each gift and spend time checking it out. One of his favorites was the Batman hoodie, which he put on immediately and then sat down to read his new Super Heroes book before he even finished opening his other gifts!

Santa brought Raleigh a Wolfpack collar & leash plus lots of bones and treats

Cooper got a Batman cave, Leapfrog Tag Reading system plus book, Wolverine Leapster game, Toy Story Mania Wii game, clothes, and other little things.

Carter got a PS3 with a basketball game, Magagascar Kartz for DS, laser car, clothes, and other stuff.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a busy day! At Grandmommy & DD's, we made birthday cupcakes for Jesus then opened our stockings there. Then, we had lunch with my family and opened gifts with them. We always read the Christmas story from the bible beforehand. After that, we came back home to attend church. Our tradition is to let the kids open 1 gift of their choice before bed. Carter chose Wii Sports Resort game and Cooper chose a Webkinz elephant. The boys sprinkled reindeer food on the lawn and made cookies for Santa. Then, it was off to bed to await his arrival!

The boys said goodbye to Hermie on Christmas Eve before he flew back to the North Pole with Santa. He may return during the year to check on the boys and see how they're behaving.
